Planning a project is one thing; managing a project effectively is often something completely different, and with its own set of challenges.  Project Managers plan the Project but manage the exceptions.  The key challenge encountered is identifying exceptions embedded in the MS Project Schedule data.

Stan Tandon will present tips and tricks that will illustrate a number of ways data in the schedules can be used to generate information that can facilitates informed choice and decision.  MPA invites you to come and witness the extraction of data from project into a business friendly format.

Bio

Stan Tandon is currently consulting with Acxiom as a Program Manager, identifying and managing exceptions in the PMO operations. Previously, Stan managed a portfolio of over 700 concurrent projects using some of these techniques at Wells Fargo Bank’s Infrastructure organization. Stan creates the ability to use information mined out of schedules to manage difficult situations, and people. Through his experience in dealing with a vast variety of industries and assignments, Stan has mastered the art of translating data into information.
